On February 6, 2020, the Montreux Congress Center received the award for the best Congress Center in Switzerland at the Swiss Mice Awards at the Conference Arena in Zurich. The 2m2c is delighted to have received the 1st place in the “Best Congress Center” category. The prize was awarded to Rémy Crégut, General Manager of 2m2c. This prize is awarded each year by MICE-tip magazine and its expert jury.
All the guests vibrated with the nominees waiting to learn the names of the winners who were revealed during the ceremony. This evening was moderated by Claudia Lässer, TV Presenter and Daniela Oegerli, Editor-in-Chief of MICE-tip.
The 2m2c recognized as the best Congress Center in Switzerland
The 2m2c received the "Swiss Mice Award" 2020 in the "Best Congress Center" category. The prize was awarded to Rémy Crégut by Daniela Oegerli, Editor-in-Chief of MICE-tip. The 2m2c was chosen for the quality of the national and international events it has hosted for years. Also for the quality of service with teams who work with passion and conviction every day to ensure that the events they host run smoothly despite an aging work tool.
The Montreux Convention Center will close its doors in August 2022 to begin renovations and bring it up to safety standards and will reopen its doors to the public in May 2024.
Swiss Mice Award 2020
The Swiss Mice Awards, launched by the specialised magazine “MICE-tip”, recognise Swiss sites and destinations, which meet attributes such as extraordinary, innovative, exceptional and unique.
This prize, awarded for the 6th time, rewards five exceptional sites and destinations in five different categories. The 25 nominees were announced in October 2019 and out of 6,000 subscribers, nearly 3,000 voted online. The final result is based on 50% of the online votes and 50% of the votes of the jury composed of industry professionals.

Wednesday February 26 – City Council vote on the new 2m2c renovation project
The Town Council of Montreux adopted, yesterday, Wednesday February 26, the new project of renovation of the Center of Congress of Montreux. YES won with 82 votes.
The citizens of Montreux will vote on this new proposal in a popular referendum on May 17.
